It is a very special experience to have someone design and make something just for you.  It is my desire to make the experience joyful and satisfying for my customer and for me.   The resulting art work should make the customer’s heart sing. 

Pricing Guide

Each commission has both basic and specific costs.  Here is the pricing guide I use.

Design Fee + cost of materials + cost of labor + overhead = price

For a commissioned work the overhead is figured at 1.5 times the cost of materials plus the cost of labor.

The Commission Process

The customer decides to have a piece commissioned and fills out the commission order form.  I will review the request and respond to the customer with information and questions about the desired outcome.  After we have decided to proceed with the commission the following steps take place.

Design Fee of $50.00 is due before any work is completed

The artist needs to be paid for their time and materials for perparing the design. 

After the drawing(s) are reviewed and the design is selected by the client a price, a delivery date, and a delivery method  is set and agreed upon by the artist and the client.  The final contract is signed.

The customer will receive a progress report midway in the timeline.

Shipping costs are additional to the cost of the work and depend on customer choice.
